Welcome to From Zero To Blog Hero, we are so excited to have you here!
We are Greta and Marta, the two travel bloggers, content creators and Instagrammers behind From Zero To Blog Hero. We created this website and our free Facebook group (if you’re not a member, click here to join! It’s really good – if we can say so ourselves) because we wanted to create a space where new bloggers, and part-time hobby bloggers that want to transition to full-time professional bloggers, can find all the resources they need to set off on the right foot.

When we first started blogging we struggled to find the information we wanted and needed to build profitable and successful blogs. It took us hours of browsing the Internet; signing up to free webinars, participating in email challenges, reading articles, spending money on e-courses and e-books and reading debates in Facebook groups, to sort through all the fluff and eventually find the useful information.
We created this website to make your life easier! By sharing everything we have learnt in those hours of scouring the Internet, and our own practical experience on the field, we want to save you all that wasted time we spent listening to 1-hour webinars for 5 minutes of useful advice and 55 minutes of e-course pitching.
Blogging isn’t a subject that you can learn in school. It is such a new field that the only information about it that you can find is the one other bloggers decide to share online. While there is lots of useful information out there, there is also a lot of crap. We’ve already sorted through the good and bad for you and are here to save your time, so that you can go from having a small hobby blog that only your mum reads, to a professional blog that reaches 100,000s of people every month, lands you brand deals and earns you a full-time income.
We also created a Facebook group to go with it because networking with other bloggers is the single most important thing you can do to grow your blog. We wanted it to be a space where no question is a stupid question, where everyone can feel free to connect with others and ask what is really bugging them. In the Facebook group we also run regular challenges to help you grow your blog.
So what can you actually find on this website? We have numerous articles that outline everything you need to know about driving traffic to your site from SEO and Pinterest, about monetising passively through ads and affiliates, about working with brands and entrepreneurship advice. We also have a resource library with tons of freebies that you can download to help your workflow and we run regular challenges in our Facebook group. The best part? We also organise blog retreats! The first one will be in Sardinia in June 2019, find out more here!
I hope this clarifies our mission and what we’re all about here at From Zero To Blog Hero! If you want to learn about us, your lovely founders and teachers, read on!
About Greta Omoboni
Hello, glad you made it so far down this page! My name is Greta, I’m a 25-year old Italian raised in Milan but currently based in London. I attended an international school growing up, which accounts for my hard to place English accent and my deep desire for travel and new adventures.
I moved to London in 2012 for university, and after graduating from University College London with a Geography degree in 2015, I somehow ended up working as a management consultant at Ernst & Young. Let’s just say the corporate world wasn’t for me. I quickly realised I had to get out of there but I didn’t know how. I applied for other jobs and spoke to tons of recruitment consultants, but nothing really offered me the life change I was craving.
It wasn’t until November 2016 when I stumbled across a popular travel Instagram repost account that I discovered this magical place that is the blogging world. I started following these content creators who were not only travelling the world and creating beautiful content while doing so, but were also getting paid to do it! It blew my mind and in that moment, while sat at my desk on the 8th floor of the EY office watching the sunset over Tower Bridge (it was a very dramatic life-changing movie moment – I could almost hear the epic movie soundtrack going off in the background), I realised that that was what I wanted to do.
Fast forward 2.5 years and after numerous late nights, early mornings, countless hours spent in front of a laptop or behind a camera, Greta’s Travels now has 210,000+ monthly page views and 120,000+ followers across all social media channels. I am proud to say that I earn more now by working for myself and travelling the world than I did while working in a Big Four corporate office in London.
I would have never achieved what I did if not for other bloggers sharing their advice online, which is why I created From Zero To Blog Hero. Blogging has allowed me to leave a job I hated and create a new one I love, and I hope it can do the same for you. I want to help you achieve your online (and offline) dreams.

About Marta Ostoja
Hi! I am Marta, fearlessly optimistic, sushi addicted Barcelona-based Polish girl that decided to become a full-time traveller.
For as long as I remember, I wanted to be a travel writer. As a kid, I preferred to read travel magazines than comic books, as a student I mastered the skill of finding multiple scholarships abroad (I did 3 university exchanges: in Sweden, Madrid, Dublin and a volunteer project in the Philippines) and as a young professional, I used to spend all my savings on travels.
But somehow after finishing my Business degree (I have a Master in Finance LOL!), I ended up in the corporate World. Quickly enough, I realized that I am a creative soul at heart and started looking for outlets for my creativity. That is when I got a Master in Graphic Design and started a travel and lifestyle blog to inspire others to live a truly great life and to travel more.
I have been thinking of starting a travel blog since 2015 but… excuses! Finally, in 2016 I started my site Where Life Is Great and from that day on I got obsessed about blogging. I absorbed all the knowledge I could possibly find on the Internet and tested, tested, tested to find what works.
Two years later, I quit my 9-5 job as I started earning more than in my day job. I grew my Instagram to 140,000 followers, and have partnered with multiple tourism boards and hotel groups. I helped co-create a clothing line for a fashion brand and was a speaker at the international influencer conference Trablin. Most importantly I help others work with brands they love and get paid to do so in my course Paid to Create.
And, now together with Greta, we joined forces to help you learn all you need to know about blogging and social media to take your blog from zero to hero 🙂 !
